Stay tuned for information about 2018’s festival entertainment. Here are the bands that shook our glasses in 2017.
BOGEY AND THE VICEROY
Bogey and The Viceroy ply their trade with much derring-do. New Orleans native Bogey Thornton has been entertaining audiences all over the map for the past 15 years with his signature brand of swanky soul. Bogey’s sweet voice embodies the ease and sophistication of iconic 60’s crooners like Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye, and The Viceroy band brings the best musicians Atlanta has to offer together to show you a good time. Covering classic soul from every era along with retro rock/pop to today’s current chart-toppers, Bogey & the Viceroy turns any gathering into a groovy non-stop dance party!
The Villain Family is high-energy, soul-country at it’s gritty best. They know that southern music is really a mix of gospel, country, rock and R&B. Villain Family uses a mix of humorous and heartfelt lyrics put to driving melodies that slap you right across the face. Their energy on stage will have you up dancin’, drinkin’ and singin’ along, feeling like you are part of the family caper.
GRINDER NOVA AND THE PITSTOP MARIACHI BAND
Grinder Nova is best described as a “South-of-the-Border rock and roll inferno, complete with horns, maracas and sinful dispositions” so says Atlanta-based Stomp & Stammer magazine. “Using their unique blend of salsa y bossa with a bit of 60s freak beat thrown in, this fusion-verde of brass-laden rock and roll sounds like James Bond met Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass in a back alley brawl against mainstream commercial radio . . . and they WON!”
